Get ready
- Place the bell beside one foot. Bend hips and knees, grip with that side hand and stand tall. Keep the arm long, bell clear of your leg and shoulders level.
How to do it
- Stand with feet hip-width apart, head over ribs and ribs over pelvis. Resist leaning toward or away from the bell; breathe throughout the hold.
- Stop early if posture or grip changes; continue only while you remain steady.
Finish the movement
- Stand still, bend hips and knees and place the bell beside your foot. Reset your stance and grip before repeating with the other hand.
Make it easier
- Shorten the hold or practice standing tall without the bell.
Make it harder
- Maintain the same level shoulders and steady breathing throughout the hold.
Common mistakes
- Leaning sideways, shrugging the loaded shoulder, holding the breath or resting the bell against the thigh.
When to stop or adjust
- End the set if grip slips, control or balance is lost, or pain, numbness or dizziness appears. Set the bell down under control before resting.
